What you'll do
As a Release Governance Manager, you’ll assess the release quality gates, create the release governance reports and communication material, as well as establish and maintain evidence to satisfy audit controls and requirements. You’ll also assist in defining the release governance target operating model, including process re-design, re-definition of quality controls and guidelines.
You’ll collaborate closely with delivery teams including project managers, testers and business representatives as well as with the colleagues from release, environment and cutover management.
You’ll also be:
* Monitoring scope of all releases by centrally reviewing delivery progress on regular basis.
* Acting as release gatekeeper by centrally reviewing delivery progress as per defined release gates to ensure high quality releases
* Guiding projects and delivery teams through the release gates
* Creating release governance reports and communicating to stakeholders
* Understanding and managing cross-project or team dependencies and driving alignment activities
* Responsible for central communication towards all involved parties to successfully plan, coordinate and deploy bank wide releases
* Contributing to the release governance target operating model moving to more frequent releases
The skills you'll need
You’ll be an experienced project manager in IT delivery projects with project management experience. In addition, you’ll be solution and service oriented, with the ability to take ownership of tasks. You’ll be a self-starter with the ability to appropriately prioritise and plan your work. We’ll also look for you to be a strong team player with a positive attitude.
You’ll also need:
* Expertise in release gate assessment and reporting
* Knowledge of Agile methodology and the software development lifecycle
* Analytical skills and good attention to detail
* Knowledge of using JIRA and Confluence
* The ability to work under pressure and take initiative
* Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal stakeholders and customers
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to others
