Our department
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) is one of the largest and most successful civil engineering departments in the UK. The department is ranked 1st in Scotland and 3rd in the UK in the Guardian Subject Rankings 2025. We have over 600 students, including 450 undergraduates, 100 taught postgraduates and almost 100 registered research students. We have a strong commitment to widening access and inclusion while maintaining academic quality and an outstanding student experience.
The opportunity
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), University of Strathclyde, is seeking to appoint a Teaching Associate in Construction and Surveying to undertake teaching and assessment in the BEng Civil Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, Bahrain Campus.
The successful candidate will have the ability to use their expertise in the area to deliver high quality teaching in this subject. They will have teaching experience in theoretical and practical aspects of Construction and Surveying, experience of student mentorship and supervision, and publication history in high quality academic journals. They will have excellent communication skills and an ability to work as part of a team.
