Salary Range: £140 - £230 per day (Depending on experience)

As a Sociology Teacher, you will inspire students' critical thinking and deepen their understanding of social structures and issues that shape our world. Join a supportive educational community dedicated to academic excellence and personal growth.
Responsibilities of the Sociology Teacher:
Encourage students to dive into and broaden their understanding of Sociological concepts.
Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Sociology lessons at Key Stages 4 and 5, encouraging students to critically analyse society and social behaviour.
Develop lesson plans that foster debate, discussion, and analysis on relevant topics such as social inequality, cultural diversity, and globalisation.
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Sociology exams, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the curriculum.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to promote academic growth.
Cultivate an inclusive, positive classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to participate.
Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance the Social Sciences department and align teaching methods with best practices.
Keep meticulous records of student achievements and progress
Requirements of the Sociology Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a background in Sociology or related field.
Proven experience teaching Sociology at the secondary level, particularly at Key Stage 5.
In-depth knowledge of the Sociology curriculum and examination requirements.
Strong classroom management skills with the ability to inspire and engage students of diverse abilities.
Excellent communication skills, with a passion for fostering students’ critical thinking and analytical skills.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
An understanding of the UK education system and relevant curriculum standards.
Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
