Finatal is currently exclusively working with a Financial Services SaaS business that is going through rapid growth after Private Equity Investment from a European mid-market fund. This business is at the beginning of its PE cycle and is now looking for its first technical Head of Data to leverage data analysis to enhance business decision-making and bolster growth and process optimisation cross-functionally. With a new Azure cloud platform, you will have the tools to develop a data strategy and maximise ROI. You will spearhead cross-collaboration working closely with the CFO as well as executives across Finance, Marketing, Operations, HR, IT and Sales and will be integral in driving a commercial data culture across the business. In the long term, you will have the chance to grow a small data team.
Responsibilities:
* Reporting to the Head of RevOps you will focus on building a strategy to exploit data to maximise ROI, understanding cross-functional needs, including Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services, Marketing, IT, HR, and Finance.
* Utilising the new Azure BI platform + Power BI to automate manual workflows & processes, implementing new metrics, new business KPIs
* Challenge, evolve and optimise the current data infrastructure/warehouse in Azure, which has been built by the Fund.
* Using your strong commercial and business acumen to effectively communicate complex data insights to senior management translating business requirements into technical specifications.
* You will conduct a complex, in-depth analysis of KPIs from diverse data sources including CRM, ERP, and other business applications.
* Longer term you will have the opportunity to build a data team from scratch.
Requirements:
* Strong track record in Business intelligence, data analytics or data engineering, (ideally 5 years), with strong proficiency across the Azure stack including Power BI.
* Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills with previous experience working with C-level executives.
* Strong commercial and business acumen, using data to exploit business objectives and maximise ROI.
* Advanced data manipulation and analysis skills, particularly with SQL and data modelling techniques.
* Beneficial if you have worked within a finance team or with a CFO previously.
* Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
