We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Gartree, a category B men's prison, located in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.
In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.
Hours
This is a full time role, working an average of 37.5 hours per week. The Pharmacy team works a rolling rota over 4 weeks, 3-4 shifts per week. Hours are 7.30am-5.00pm, with an exception to work 1 weekend in 4.
Salary
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £32,346 - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Provide outstanding quality based patient centred care to our patients.
* Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards.
* Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, our partners and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within and feel proud of.
* Promote best practice, evidence-based care and continuous quality improvement embedding a culture of shared learning. Communicate complex or sensitive information whilst demonstrating empathy and understanding to patients.
* Share information relating to pharmaceutical products, medicines management, drug regimes, medicines legislation and general health education so that the multidisciplinary healthcare team are appropriately informed.
Qualifications & Experience required:
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
* Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
* General GCSE education or equivalent
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
