Job Title: Sustainability Strategist (Hybrid – Southeast)
Location: Hybrid working, 2 days per week in either Surrey / West Midlands

About the Role:
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Sustainability Strategist to join a fast-growing team at the intersection of sustainability and technology. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in helping businesses achieve ambitious decarbonisation and cost-saving goals. You’ll collaborate with clients to develop and implement tailored net-zero strategies, manage projects across renewable energy and carbon reduction initiatives, and contribute to the growth of an innovative platform that integrates sustainability with energy procurement.
This role offers variety and growth, with opportunities to get involved in sales, account management, marketing, consultancy, and research. You’ll build meaningful relationships, identify emerging opportunities, and help clients navigate the complexities of sustainability. Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with clients to understand their sustainability goals, energy costs, and operational challenges.
* Design and execute tailored carbon reduction strategies, incorporating technologies such as solar, wind, battery storage, EVs, and smart buildings.
* Conduct research into emerging sustainability technologies, funding opportunities, and industry trends to identify the best solutions for clients.
* Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of sustainability projects, from inception and tendering to implementation and evaluation.
* Regularly review project performance using analytics tools, adjusting strategies to maximize impact and align with client objectives.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring seamless communication.
* Represent the company at events, conferences, and trade shows to showcase the platform and network with industry stakeholders.
* Develop and deliver client presentations, webinars, and thought leadership content to engage prospects and existing customers.
* Support marketing efforts by contributing to campaigns, social media, and promotional materials.
About You:
* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., sustainability, business, or environmental science).
* 1-2 years experience in a client-facing /office based role, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels.
* Knowledge of carbon accountancy, carbon footprint measurement, and reporting frameworks.
* A strong interest in sustainability technologies, energy compliance, and net-zero strategies.
* Self-motivated and adaptable, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly and compellingly.
* Experience in sales, marketing, account management, or consultancy is desirable but not essential.
* A results-driven mindset and a passion for driving meaningful change.
