A band 6 charge nurse/sisterFixed Term/Secondmentopportunity has arisen on Ward 305 at the Royal Derby Hospital. As an already experienced leadership team, we are able to support the right candidate to develop into the role. We would welcome job sharing/part time/full time hours.
Ward 305 is a busy 31 bedded Gastroenterology and general medical ward. We support patients with complex needs including Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition, Pre and Post GI surgery, Eating Disorders, Inflammatory Bowel Disease and GI cancers.
The successful candidate should be able to provide nursing guidance to colleagues and act as a role model. You will be required to plan, monitor and evaluate care for our patients.
Expert speciality knowledge and skills would be advantageous but can be developed.
You will be supported to become a clinical expert and leader.
The successful candidate will work across the ward and coordinate patient care and take charge, supporting the Senior Sister.
The successful candidate will have good leadership skills and support change. We can offer training and development both clinically and through leadership.
You will need to have excellent clinical skills; knowledge and communication skills with exemplary high standards of care.
You will be a role model for the team and will motivate and inspire others to be the very best they can be.
• Ensuring all staff are supported to provide high standards of quality care
• Completing clinical audits and using them to shape/influence improvement projects
