We are looking for an experienced, dedicated person with the relevant skills, qualifications and experience to join the small team who coordinate trunk road maintenance activities within the Open Spaces Trunk Road Operations Team.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience of working in a Highway environment (to include exposure to trunk road operations), have the ability to lead and motivate staff and be a good communicator that can effectively direct teams / individual on technical issues, and have thorough knowledge of health and safety legislation and practical application.
This position will involve a flexible approach to working hours with the requirement to regularly undertake night working and weekend working a key element of the role.
Key responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate the trunk road maintenance teams
• Ensure works are completed on time and within safety regulations
• Conduct site inspections and monitor work quality
• Liaise with the North Mid Wales Trunk Road Agency and contractors
• Generate claims to the North Mid Wales Trunk Road Agency on a timely basis
