Main Purpose: The role of Mechanical Fitter/Technician will be responsible for the maintenance of the Belfast Terminal assets whilst also supporting the Operations function on a day-to-day basis. Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities: Responsible for testing, maintenance and repair of all site pressure and thermal safety valves Ensure any works involving change are first approved through the correct execution and control of engineering change (MOC) Highlight and record any adverse findings following maintenance activities to ensure proactive planning of future works Maintain, fault diagnose, and repair all pumps, compressors, static engines, mobile plant and vehicles, pneumatic systems and components Interpret and understand company and manufacturer drawings, diagrams, instructions, and specifications, collaborating closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors. Complete work content according to agreed maintenance priorities, including planning, coordination, execution, testing, commissioning, handover, and sign-off. Uphold integrity in high-priority or emergency situations, adapting to changing work priorities to ensure departmental efficiency and success. When required, actively participate in safety meetings, ensuring compliance with safe working practices for yourself and your team. Support the initiation of tool box safety talks Operate the maintenance computer system, supporting computer-aided planning functions and maintaining all equipment maintenance records. Work together with the maintenance team and address all maintenance issues efficiently and effectively. Promote and maintain the adoption of the Terminal Management System, and compliance with ISO9001 Quality Management System, ISO45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System requirements. As Operations Day support conduct routine plant monitoring and perform regular checks on assigned areas and equipment. Supervise road loading operations, handle loading bay inquiries, conduct driver audits, handle inductions and annual refreshers.
