Electrical Estimator - Hybrid
£50,000 - £65,000 per annum
Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays
Pension: 5% Employee with 3% employer
Sick Pay: Statutory
Bonus: This is not guaranteed and is based on business performance. Best bonus paid to date is 1 month's salary and minimum bonus paid to date is £250.

Overview:
Our client designs, installs, and maintains networks for a range of clients within the utilities sector. They have seen growth year on year for the last 18+ years and are now looking for the right person to be part of that future and support with exceeding targets. They're looking for a keen and enthusiastic Multi-Utility Estimator to join their expanding team, with the prospect of moving into a management/Head of position as the company continues to grow.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
1. Timely production of detailed pricing of Multi Utility quotes up to 33kV from client scope/Specification or DNO Point of Connection offers.
2. Compilation of accurate estimates from first principal methods for multi-discipline works, including labour, plant, equipment, materials, and sub-contract requirements during tendering and bidding.
The Role:
1. Preparation of tenders and quotations from specifications and drawings within defined time periods.
2. Preparation of tenders and quotations from DNO Point of Connection offers within defined time periods.
3. Make site assessments and evaluate any risks and potential problems.
4. Produce formal handover documentation on accepted work.
5. Attend handover meetings where required and explain project scope, estimate, clarifications, and assumptions.
6. Completion of all company procedure documents and financial information.
7. Report on and review all projects with the BDM.
8. Document review.
9. Attend and lead contract meetings with clients and contractors.
What you will need to succeed:
1. Detailed understanding of DNO/IDNO/ICP's.
2. Experienced Engineer with a proven history in providing technical solutions and costing for an electrical and civil engineering environment up to 33kV on Private and/or Regulated DNO/IDNO Networks.
3. Commercial acumen.
4. Attention to detail and quality.
5. Excellent team working, financial, and organisational skills.
6. Confident and assured presenter in front of senior managers and directors.
7. High level of computer literacy.
8. General knowledge of H&S and its practical implications.
9. Self-motivated but able to work as part of a team.
10. Customer focused and driven for success.
11. Good at developing others.
In return our client will offer:
