Job Title: Adult Social Worker – Learning Disabilities
Location: Swindon Council
Rate: £34 per hour
Job Description:
This role requires a dynamic worker with sound knowledge and understanding of the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005 and a minimum of two years post-qualified experience and will hold a number of complex cases. The worker will be required to manage a caseload in addition to supporting duty functions. The team are based in the office 2 days a week but may also need to complete duty visits and assessments at short notice. The suitable candidate must be a car driver. Experience of Adult Safeguarding and multi-disciplinary working is also essential to the role and evidence of this would be preferred.

Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree in Social Work or related field
* Registration with the relevant professional body
* Experience in adult social care
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong advocacy and negotiation skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals
