This role is an apprentice administrator vacancy under a government scheme. You will need to attend college to complete your modules which can be in person or online. You will need to study alongside working and learning on the job. The salary is an apprentice salary in line with the legislation.
The responsibilities include:
1. Meeting and greeting clients
2. Answering the telephone
3. Assisting with filing
4. Learning how to set out letters, files, and audio typing
You will need to have good GCSE grades, an enthusiastic attitude to learning, and must know how to type and use computers. You must live within an 8-mile radius of our office address. Your CV MUST give your address/location details. This is a training role, and there is no negotiation on attending college or the salary. Hence, you must be local for the salary and the travel. Hopefully, the successful candidate will progress to office manager within 18 months of being trained.
Apply with your CV and covering letter. The college to attend will likely be in Nuneaton. If you have previously been on an apprenticeship and have been dismissed or left an apprenticeship, then this will flag up and you will not be offered the role as the training provider is unlikely to accept you. Salary is pro rata as we work a 4-day week and do not work on Wednesdays as the office is closed. This role is 4 days a week. We do prefer someone who has done some work experience in an office, but this is not essential. A good attitude is essential with a willingness to work as part of a team.
The hours are 9.30 am until 5.30 pm.
