Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for ensuring patient identification, safety, and preparation are correct prior to testing while maintaining patient confidentiality.
2. Performs all cardiac testing techniques including Electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, Holter scanning, Holter monitoring, and ambulatory BP monitoring in compliance with CSCT guidelines.
3. Ensures all quality control assessments are performed as required.
4. Takes all reasonable precautions and works in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation, and best practices.
5. Follows procedures for proper equipment maintenance in accordance with department standards.
6. Ensures equipment and instruments are performing in an efficient and effective manner.
7. Prepares reports as required.
8. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:
1. 0-2 years of related experience.
2. Completion of a Cardiology program recognized by the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists.
3. Current certification with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists and eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT).
4. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
5. Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.
6. Demonstrate effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
