A great opportunity has arisen to join the Sales and Marketing team of one of our key clients in the Manchester area. We are looking to recruit for a Commuications Officer, supporting the CMO and Business Development Officer (BDO) in delivering the Marketing Strategy to both grow membership and increase activity amongst current members, whilst ensuring all areas of the Strategy are delivered to a high standard. You will be expected to be a team player but also self-motivated and confident to suggest new ideas or improvements.
Key responsibilities will be to promote the business at every opportunity and raise its profile; assist with the design and implementation of effective multi-channel marketing campaigns; manage new member marketing journey to increase member engagement; monitor new member satisfaction and engagement and assisting with campaigns to improve membership experience; update and monitor website, reviewing, optimising and enhancing content and making recommendations for future improvements; create interesting blog content in line with marketing plan; manage monthly Members Update and other member communications, monitoring performance and implementing changes to improve performance; manage social media channels to increase member engagement; manage paid social media campaigns, monitoring results and adapting to improve results; analyse membership trends to identify future trends and opportunities; helping prepare sales pitches to present to potential payroll partners; arranging & deliver wellbeing events to raise awareness of products and services and to subsequently increase membership and lending; to assist in developing promotional literature, to work closely with designers/printers and updating of this material as appropriate; report on website performance using Google Analytics and other tools, with monthly reports monitoring KPIs; to assist in organising the AGM and other member events;be a team player and a key part of the Marketing and Business Development Team.
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s Grade C or above, including English; ideally a degree in management, marketing, business or a similar field, or at least 3 years in a similar role; excellent attention to detail, with exceptional time, planning and management skills; excellent IT skills; the desire to provide outstanding services to members; a willingness to learn; full UK driving licence and prepared to use their private vehicle for essential business travel and claim back mileage.
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4pm within the Manchester office and some WFH. Flexibility will also be required as there will be travel to clients and attendance at evening meetings, training events and conferences (some held at weekends) may be required on occasion.
