Anexciting opportunity has arisen for a Chaplain to join the Trust's ChaplaincyTeam to work across the Trust. We arelooking for an individual who can understand and demonstrate compassion whenencountering other people.
Thesuccessful candidate will demonstrate a creative approach to working as part ofa multi-faith team.
Therole is demanding, and the successful candidate will need to be emotionally intelligentand able to work within boundaries to be able to manage difficult situationswhilst acting as a reflective practitioner.Travel to all Trust sites is an essential part of the role.
Thepost holder will be accountable to the Lead Chaplain. The post is for 15 hours with flexibility ofhow these hours are worked.

Job responsibilities
This post forms part of a developing service within theSTSFT Chaplaincy Team. The post holderwill be expected to work across all sites, providing a support role to colleagues,in addition to:
Providing flexible and responsive spiritual,pastoral and religious care to patients, relatives, visitors, and staff withinthe Trust, irrespective of faith or belief.
Towork as part of an ecumenical, multi-faith Chaplaincy team, identifying,assessing, and appropriately responding to pastoral, spiritual, emotional,cultural, and/or religious needs of patients, their families, carers, and staff.
To be open to and supportive of the spiritualand ethical concerns of staff arising from their work
Adhereto all relevant service and professional standards including NHS England NHSChaplaincy Guidelines and the UKBHC Standards for Healthcare ChaplaincyServices.
Havea sensitivity and openness which is accepting of people from a great variety ofreligious and non-religious traditions and beliefs.
Workin an inclusive non-discriminatory manner within care offered by chaplaincystaff and volunteers that is inclusive and open to all, no matter theirsexuality, disability or ethnic background.
Tofacilitate the worship of those of all faiths according to their own traditionand the availability of the chapels and prayer spaces.
Towork within the Trust protocols and procedures and to remain abreast and beproactive of all relevant policies and procedures regarding chaplaincy.
Toassist in developing and providing education and training.
Be conversant with the use of computer systems and with regard to recordinginformation, maintain confidential records of referrals and significant visitsinvolving patients, staff and others using the service within the provision ofthe Data Protection Act and Trust policy.
To maintain appropriate records of services conducted by membersof the chaplaincy team.
Organiseevents, services, and ceremonies, as directed.

Qualifications
Essential
12. Accredited training/qualification (normally at degree level or higher) in theology, pastoral care, or other relevant discipline.
13. Accreditation/licensing with authority to practice as a religious leader/representative and/or pastoral worker. Or were relevant able to be endorsed by your faith or belief community.
Desirable
14. Qualification in Healthcare Chaplaincy or Pastoral Care.
15. Professional qualification in Counselling, Education or equivalent.
16. UKBHC Registered Chaplain or working towards Registration.
Experience
Essential
17. Previous pastoral experience.
18. Able to provide high quality Pastoral and Spiritual care to patients of any religion or belief.
19. Experience working in healthcare and/or Chaplaincy.
Desirable
20. Substantial Chaplaincy experience.
21. Substantial relevant experience working/volunteering within an NHS setting.
22. Previous multi-faith/belief experience.
