Head of Creative - Wigan Office, Wigan
Fitness First is seeking a highly strategic and innovative Head of Creative to drive the creative direction of the business. This pivotal role will oversee the creative development and execution of all brand and campaign activations, ensuring that Fitness First's brand is communicated effectively across all channels, from digital to print, and across all customer touchpoints.
As the Head of Creative, you will lead the creative strategy for the brand while managing internal teams and coordinating with key agencies to ensure all creative output aligns with Fitness First’s overarching business goals. You’ll play a key part in developing seasonal and key customer activation moments, working across various media including photography, digital, print, social content, and internal communications.
Key Objectives of the Role:
1. Brand Guidelines Development:
2. Develop and enforce adherence to comprehensive Brand Guidelines across all channels, including macro brand, physical environment, digital, communication channels, and internal communications.
3. Create and manage brand guidelines for seasonal moments and key customer activation periods, ensuring relevance and consistency.
4. Creative Studio Management:
5. Oversee the workload of the Creative Studio, ensuring that all tasks align with the Marketing Calendar and business goals.
6. Lead both internal and external teams, ensuring proper coordination, prioritisation, and timely delivery of creative outputs.
7. Cultivate an environment of success within the creative team, setting up structures for collaboration and excellence.
8. Photography and Social Content Strategy:
9. Develop and implement the photography and social content strategy for Fitness First, ensuring consistency with the brand’s guidelines.
10. Manage third-party teams to ensure high standards of output and cost-efficiency.
11. Direct shoots and creative content when necessary, ensuring alignment with the strategic vision.
12. Agency Collaboration:
13. Work closely with external creative agencies, ensuring alignment with Fitness First’s creative strategy.
14. Ensure all agencies deliver high-quality work that is cost-effective, on-budget, and meets the brand's standards.
Key Skills and Competencies:
15. Proven experience in leading creative teams and delivering innovative campaigns across multiple channels (digital, social, print, and photography).
16. Strong leadership skills with experience managing both internal teams and third-party agencies.
17. Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deliver on time.
18. Creative mindset focused on driving strategic and financial objectives through design.
19. Strong understanding of photography, digital media, and social content strategies.
20. Extensive experience in creative leadership, ideally within the fitness, retail, or similar industries.
21. Experience in managing large-scale creative campaigns and brand activations.
22. Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative work, including photography, digital, and print.
23. Proficiency in creative software (Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) and digital platforms.
