Job summary As a Band 5 Speech & Language Therapist within the preschool team, you will assess, diagnose, and deliver evidence-based interventions to children with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN). You will play a vital role in empowering parents, carers, and professionals through training, support, and collaborative working. Your work will primarily focus on children within early years settings such as nurseries, Family Hubs, and family homes. Base Our Childrens Community Health Team provision supports our Surrey-wide service, and you will be based at one of our Office Hubs across Surrey with the opportunity for hybrid working. Main duties of the job Deliver high-quality SLT assessments and interventions to preschool-aged children. Collaborate with parents, carers, and the wider childrens workforce to create tailored care plans. Provide reports, including for Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). Support service development and key performance targets. Supervise and guide SLT assistants and students. Plan and deliver training for carers and professionals to enhance understanding of SLCN. Participate in multi-agency meetings and safeguarding case conferences as required.
