Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (30-minute lunch break).
Friday: 7:30 am - 12:30 pm.
Annual Salary between £35,000 - £48,000
People Solutions are offering an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a our client's small, dynamic maintenance team based in Rugby.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting reactive and planned maintenance on plant machinery and production equipment, including CNC machinery and furnaces.
Your work will play a vital role in minimising downtime and maintaining operational efficiency.

Day to Day Duties
Perform electrical repairs and routine maintenance on a variety of CNC and manual production equipment, including kilns and furnaces, in line with HSE and manufacturer guidance.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve faults on plant machinery to minimize production downtime.
Maintain and repair electrical control systems, CNC drive systems, PLCs, and temperature controllers.
Oversee mechanical systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and drive systems.
Read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.
Manage maintenance schedules, complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks, and support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives.
Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure efficient operations.
Record detailed maintenance activities using CMMS software and Microsoft Office tools.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, risk assessments, and method statements.
Support plant installations and continuous improvement projects.
Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices or understudies.
Be available for overtime, call-outs, and flexible working when required.
Essential Skills
Proven experience as an electrical/electronic maintenance technician or service engineer, ideally within manufacturing or the service industry.
Strong knowledge of electrical control systems, CNC drives, PLCs, and temperature controllers.
Experience working with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and machine documentation.
Proficiency in using CMMS software and Microsoft Office.
GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths.
Desirable Experience
Apprentice-trained with a recognised qualification such as HNC or BTEC in electrical/electronic engineering or a related discipline.
IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Strong organisational and planning skills
