Who we are
Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland's national dementia charity. Our aim is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide support and information to people with dementia, their carers and families, we campaign for the rights of people with dementia and fund vital dementia research.
What you'll do
1. Lead and manage high-quality, therapeutic registered day services and community supports for people with dementia, those at greater risk of dementia, and their families and carers.
2. Ensure services meet Alzheimer Scotland's vision for unique therapeutic, highly person-centred support.
3. Ensure commissioned services meet all service level agreements, contract specifications, and quality guarantees.
4. Manage the day-to-day operations of the services and promote them with local stakeholders within Health and Social Care.
5. Collaborate with the Head of Services to ensure safe practice and delivery of high-quality, person-centred therapeutic day services.
6. Evidence, review, and continually improve the quality of services, participating in internal audits and Care Inspectorate inspections.
7. Provide strong line management and leadership to your team, setting clear objectives and conducting regular reviews and appraisals.
What you'll have
1. Experience of managing a team in a social care, health, or similar setting, or a clear understanding of effective team management principles.
2. Knowledge of the Health and Social Care Standards, SSSC codes of practice, and the Care Inspectorate's role in registered services.
3. Understanding of dementia, mild cognitive impairment, Brain Health, and experience supporting people living with dementia and their families.
4. A recognised professional qualification in health, social work, or a related field, to SCQF Level 7 (SVQ 3).
