Services For Education is a growing children’s charity in Birmingham. We use the power of learning and music to improve outcomes for children, young people and communities. OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Clarinet specialist teacher to join Services for Education's growing Music School team.
SFE Music School offers 1:1 tuition for children and adults with weekly, 30-minute lessons during term-time. There is currently a strong, diverse team delivering at our sites on various evenings and Saturday mornings. We are initially looking for someone to offer 3-4 hours work at our North Birmingham site in Sutton Coldfield, with the possibility of further work later in the year.
It would be ideal, but not essential, if you have experience teaching other Woodwind instruments and/or Music Theory.
As a clarinet specialist within our Woodwind Department, you will be joining a friendly, supportive team with a diverse range of skills and experience. There is opportunity for future work within the department, in the following areas:
1. Small Group/1:1 teaching (all ages up to 18)
2. Whole Class Instrumental Teaching
3. Ensemble direction (beginner through to advanced)
4. Experience of working with children with additional needs (mainstream and special schools)
