Job Summary:
* Define the strategic intent for the St Austell Process Engineering Function and contribute to the STA entity strategy.
* Manage the St Austell Process Engineering to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality deliverables.
* Be accountable for all operational excellence activities within STA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Measure and control functional costs and resources within budgets to support the business.
* Drive continuous improvements using lean six sigma tools.
* Monitor and measure STA operational excellence.
* Lead and participate in projects, product, and process development.
* Define departmental objectives aligned with business goals.
* Coordinate the introduction of new products and customer product transfers.
* Manage the process engineering team for effective service delivery.
* Ensure legislative compliance.
* Provide processes to ensure quality and cost-effective production on time.
* Meet customer validation requirements.
* Participate actively in the customer-facing operational team.

* Lead by example to implement and maintain the Safety Leadership Statement.
* Ensure safety, health, and welfare of all employees, visitors, and contractors.
* Create a motivated and safe workplace, ensuring return home safely each day.
* Allocate resources for HSE activities and support the Plant Health and Safety Committee.
* Manage activities to prevent unsafe behaviors, establish performance feedback systems, and ensure compliance with safety policies.
* Ensure health surveillance and establish measurable HSE objectives aligned with corporate and regional targets.

Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
Minimum:
* University degree
* Six Sigma Green Belt
* ILM Level 5 or equivalent
Desirable:
* Six Sigma Black Belt
* ILM Level 7 or equivalent
* APM or equivalent
Experience and Competencies:
* Process engineering in manufacturing
* Matrix management experience
* Team management and budget management
* Project management
* Customer-facing and procurement experience
* Working with SAP, validation, and change control
Preferred Skills:
* Team player with excellent communication skills
* Independent and autonomous worker
