Main duties of the job To file all patient information accurately in health records. o Answer the telephone in a courteous and timely manner. o Ensure accuracy in giving and receiving messages. o Booking patient transport. o Making outpatient appointments. o Chasing investigations. o Collecting health records, patient results and pharmacy items. o Dealing with ward mail and other correspondence. o Co-ordinate the ordering of NHSP staff at the discretion of Department Manager and Deputy. o Other clerical duties such as photocopying and faxing. o Assist with maintenance or stores and equipment with careful stock control. o To greet patients with a welcoming and informative approach. o Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the team. o Ensure all patients are treated in a kind and courteous manner. o Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
