Role: Business Manager- PMO Location : Sheffield UK (2/3 days per week Onsite) Contract : I nitial term of 6 months Strong Banking/Finance domain experience is Mandatory Job Profile: · Equities Technology supports the CLIENT Global Markets’ Equities business by delivering a competitive platform and stable environment for CLIENT to serve its clients. · With over 100 applications with connections to over 100 exchanges globally, Equities Technology is a multi-disciplinary, Global team that partners with the Business providing Equity Derivatives, Cash Execution, Prime Brokerage and Electronic & Algorithmic Trading capabilities. · Adopting leading DevOps and Agile practices our Pods work hand in hand with the Business to develop market leading, innovative solutions for our clients, backed by a culture of openness, honesty and continuous improvement · Supported by mature pods of full stack engineers in our Global Delivery Centres in Pune, India, and Guangzhou, China, the organization operates in New York, London, Paris and Hong Kong as its major operating hubs, reflecting the global nature of our Business. · We are seeking a full-time Business Manager / PMO in London to cover maternity leave. · The role holder will cover the Cash Equities Technology department (part of the wider Equities Value Stream) and support a variety of programmes running across the sub-value stream. · The principal accountability of the PMO role is to carry out financial management, governance and reporting activities for the Cash Equities Technology team. · Work will vary from single country through to global reach. Manage budget and manpower plan for global Cash Equities; work closely with programme and project managers to ensure hiring and exits are in line, review financials and spending, reforecasting and ensuring projects and overall portfolio spend is within budget Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ie COO office comprising Business Management, Finance and Procurement, Product Owner, HR, external agencies etc Provide guidance and enforce discipline on processes such time booking and provide advice on tools such as Clarity, asset capitalisation guidance · Help with the running of the programme management office and disseminating new processes coming from the COO office · Work closely with the heads of Cash Equities their PMs on the year-end budget, submission of hardware and software headwinds, ad hoc queries from stakeholders Requirements · Financial management/Business Management experience, including: · Budget management · Resource management · Third party management Invoice processing · Highly analytical, organised, structured and results driven · Flexibility to adapt to challenging priorities and to meet strict deadline · Excellent communication skills in English both spoken and written · Ability to work in a complex and global environment. · Excellent attention to detail · Knowledge of Equities and motivation towards understanding further the Equities business · Experience of working at a departmental level (rather than programme centric)
