About this Stock Condition Surveyor job in Canterbury: The role of the Stock Condition Surveyor is critical to maintaining and upgrading the Councils Housing stock. In this role, you will be: inspecting and surveying building fabric and building services in council owned housing properties, including repairs, alterations, improvements, design, servicing, risk assessments, condition surveys. recording the results of all inspections and surveys including the use of the Council’s asset management system liaising with and/or attending sites/meetings as required by statutory authorities over any aspect of building premises use and maintenance to ensure required information is fully provided Our Surveyor’s working pattern: Full-time, 37 hours per week Flexible, hybrid working arrangements Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays A full week off over Christmas in addition to your annual leave allowance About you, the ideal Stock Condition Surveyor for our team: Your qualifications Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors or have significant experience within relevant fields. Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle Your knowledge Extensive understanding of building pathology and general building surveying, including relevant processes, statutory compliance, regulations and legislation. Your skills Ability to demonstrate customer service skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated. Your experience Experience of undertaking property inspections and using the Housing Health and Safety Rating System.
