Role Description-6 month permanent post.
Respite Services is a registered service for people with physical, learning, or sensory disabilities.
The post holder will assist the registered manager to ensure a person centred & safe running of two buildings covered by the respite team. High standards of management style in accordance with the key lines of enquiries, Doncaster councils contracts and compliance team are expected.
Doncaster Adults respite are looking for a Deputy/Assistant to the manager, this is Grade 8 annual salary is £31,372, plus 8.5 % all inclusive allowance.
The candidates will be doing 37 hours a week.The rota is the same as the grade 7 which is shifts comprising of 7am-3pm, 2pm 10pm, sleep ins and every other weekend.They would be doing sleep in and every other weekend.
Candidates must have management and need to know CQC and legislations as this Respites are CQC registered. Candidates will need CQC knowledge. Duties and Responsibilities
Core responsibilities and duties will include:
1. Provide shift management of resources, which includes specific delegated responsibilities in staffing, finance, equipment, and the building.
2. To advise and support in the use of outcome-based support plans, which are person-centred and help the individual to make informed choices and decisions, enabling them to clarify and express their needs to achieve outcomes, manage risk and contribute to service planning.
3. Responsibility to ensure that any concern about the alleged abuse of an adult at risk is addressed ensuring that South Yorkshire Safeguarding Adults Procedures are correctly followed and implemented, and all relevant parties are notified.
4. Generic so should be covered in profileWork with the Registered Manager to review and effectively manage the delivery of care and support and to achieve any regulatory improvement or action plan requirements within the specific time scales
5. You will Influence, shape, develop and grow the Service, increasing the quality-of-service provision, the service offer and service user numbers.
6. Take responsibility for the running of the service in the absence of the Registered Manager. You will manage the service including staffing allocation, budget control, building maintenance; ensuring all CQC Standards are met.
Specialist Skills and Knowledge
Essential skills, knowledge and experience required to fulfil the role include, but are not limited to:
Level 3 in Health & Social Care, willing to work towards level 4 & 5
Experience of management in health and social care environment
Extensive knowledge of relevant national strategies & Health and Social Care legislation
Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to write legible daily reports, person centred support plans and risk assessments
should be on profile
Awareness of working in a Community Led Support Model.
