Position Overview:
The Head of Retail will be responsible for developing and executing retail strategies to maximize sales, profitability, and market share for the brand's brick-and-mortar stores. This role will oversee retail operations, drive customer experience initiatives, and ensure that their stores reflect the brand's values and premium positioning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement comprehensive retail strategies aligned with the brand's overall business objectives.
Identify growth opportunities in existing and new markets to expand the retail footprint.
Manage merchandising and its KPIs- like sell-through rate and sales per square meter.
2. Sales and Profitability:
Set and achieve sales targets, KPIs, and profitability goals for retail operations.
Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed business decisions and adjustments to strategies.
3. Retail Operations:
Oversee day-to-day retail operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store layout.
Ensure operational excellence and compliance with company policies and standards.
4. Customer Experience:
Enhance the customer journey by implementing best practices in customer service and engagement.
Foster a customer-centric culture within the retail team.
5. Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and develop the retail team, including store managers and sales associates.
Promote a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages high performance.
6. Financial Management:
Prepare and manage retail budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Optimize cost control measures to maximize profitability.
7. Market Expansion:
Identify and evaluate potential locations for new store openings.
Develop and execute plans for entering new retail markets.
