As the Head of Reporting, reporting to the CFO, you lead the reporting function of the organization. You play a key role in the achievement of the company's financial objectives by leading the preparation of a sound financial plan, monitoring results, and recommending course of action. Key stakeholders the incumbent will engage with: Executives and Management Cost Centre Managers External and Internal Audit Board Committee Members Customers, as required Your key responsibilities include: Overseeing the preparation of reporting that the annual financial statements Oversee the preparation of reports that go to external stakeholders Contribute Qualifications/ Knowledge Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with a diversified range of internal and external business contacts ranging from board members, senior executives to other staff members. Strong attention to detail and deadline orientation Knowledge of financial systems and financial system configurations Strong report writing skills Technical accounting skills Tax/ VAT knowledge Experience We are looking for a minimum CA (SA) qualification/ CIMA Qualification with at least 7 years’ experience post articles within a medium to large enterprise, which should include a minimum of 3 years’ experience heading up and managing finance teams Solid experience reporting experience with internal and external stakeholders Experience in managing and drive a highly functioning team Proven experience in identifying, recommending, and implementing new practices / methods of business operations and performance analysis and metrics Conceptual Thinking: must be able to understand complex business models and strong ability to interpret data and foresee future outcomes Ability to build relationships with BU segment leadership, providing strong support and value adding insights
