Join Holland & Barrett's Global Product Function team as a Product Developer and play a pivotal role in driving the development and delivery of global new product projects. This role supports our 3-year NPD plans for Holland & Barrett's own brand product range, aligning with our business and category strategy.
Positioned within the Global Product function, this role collaborates closely with our technical, nutrition, science, and commercial functions to bring innovative products to market. Holland & Barrett is undergoing a large-scale transformation, with own-label development as a core focus. The Role:
* Collaborating with Head and Director of Product to support and deliver own-label strategy by translating consumer, trend, and market insights into product innovation and rolling 3-5 year NPD plans.
* Delivering financial targets for the NPD pipeline and achieve target customer metrics (adoption & retention) for all projects.
* Managing multiple projects across various categories to elevate H&B's own brand offering.
* Ensuring product development aligns with Holland & Barrett's brand purpose and promise.
* Partnering with internal design studio to create packaging that fits within brand visual identity.
* Working with Head of Product to craft product propositions based on consumer insight, competitor knowledge, and market analysis.
* Overseeing each development from concept to delivery within our route-to-market process, optimising customer proposition from product format to claims.
* Source and onboard new suppliers as necessary for each product.
* Ensuring on-time, budget-compliant delivery of new products.
* Coordinating with internal marketing to maximise support for launches.
* Provide product detail to support training of store colleagues.
* Acting as a product expert, staying current on global trends, supply base, and manufacturing processes.
Location:
This role is based in London, with occasional travel to other H&B locations as needed. We support flexible, hybrid working arrangements, with a minimum of 2 days in the office to foster collaboration and productivity.
The Person:
* Substantial retail/FMCG brand/product development experience, ideally within food and nutrition.
* Experience leading NPD projects from concept to launch with proven commercial impact.
* Proven ability to develop compelling, high-selling products.
* An innovation mindset - championing new ideas and opportunities.
* A strong team mindset and ability to manage multiple stakeholders and embrace change.
* Results driven with strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.
* Curious and adaptable, open to change and learning new skills.
