As a Security Officer, your primary responsibility will be to maintain a safe and secure environment across our Trust's Hospitals. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of our staff, patients, and visitors, while also contributing to the seamless delivery of healthcare services. This position is a full-time, permanent contract, with a shift pattern of 12-hour days and 12-hour nights. Pay enhancements are: 30% for Saturday, Unsocial and Nights and 60% for Sundays & Bank Holidays. Previous applicants need not apply. Main duties of the job Your Key Responsibilities: Provide an active security presence of our site through proactive patrols of site and its various departments, engaging with staff, patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Utilise existing skills in conflict resolution to manage potentially aggressive and violent persons to enable the safest resolution within a health care setting. Utilize our extensive network of CCTV and body worn cameras to detect criminal activity and enable intervention to support successful prosecutions. Component knowledge and experience of conflict resolution skills and techniques are required for this demanding position onto which additional training will be provided to enhance your skills. We will help develop your skills to understand the special nature of an NHS security service; which is to care for patients and visitors often in pain, distress or a confused state. A full driving license is essential.
