QA Lead Job Description
Due to expansion, my client in Heanor is looking for a QA Lead to join the team. Duties will include:
1. Manage Quality Systems.
2. Oversee compliance, audit, and continually improve the Integrated Management System (IMS), including the Quality Management System.
3. Ensure continued maintenance of third-party accreditations.
4. Cooperatively work with other departments to ensure a correct and consistent approach to documentation creation, control, and conformance.
5. Drive operational excellence improvements to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed required quality standards.
6. Contribute to the reduction of waste using lean principles.
7. Drive CDL towards ‘world class’ Quality behaviour, performance, and culture.
8. Monitor compliance with company procedures & legislative requirements by internal and external audit & surveillance.
9. Maintain the company’s registration to ISO9001.
10. Work with HSE officer to maintain the company’s registration to ISO14001, ISO45001 and ensure any required HSE processes are integrated into IMS.
Job Activities:
1. Provide documentation support to projects, in the form of packs, ITPs, and inspection sign off etc.
2. Ensure company-wide policies are visible and updated.
3. Owner of the Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring compliance with changes to law/standards etc.
4. Ensure business deliverables are compliant with relevant safety legislation.
5. Support CE/UKCA Marking process.
6. Chair monthly Quality meetings, ensuring tracking and implementation of actions accordingly.
7. Quarterly management review of Quality compliance.
8. Coordinate inspection resource to support manufacturing, stores, and supply chain operations.
9. Collate and display quality data, and work with stakeholders to drive improving trends.
10. Work with procurement to ensure supply chain is compliant with processes.
11. Oversee the annual internal audit programmes.
12. Support all departments' activities with regard to Quality.
13. Ensure project compliance with customer specifications.
14. Ensure areas/departments are conducting regular Gemba walks.
15. Manage Non-Conformance in the business.
16. Manage Concessions.
17. Conduct Root Cause Analysis of critical non-conformance to identify containment actions and future preventative measures.
Education/Qualifications:
Essential:
1. Quality Assurance Modules.
2. Internal Auditing of Management System.
Desirable:
1. Qualified to HND or equivalent in an Engineering discipline.
2. CQI Level 4 or equivalent qualifications.
Benefits:
Hours: 37.5 per week – Monday – Friday 8.30-5.00, in the office Tuesday – Thursday working from home Monday and Friday.
Pension: Company to match up to 6%.
Holiday: 25 plus bank holidays (33 days).
