Music Graduate - Learning Support Assistant - Aspiring Music Therapist - Slough

Milk Education is looking for a Creative Graduate to join a specialist SEN school in Slough as a Learning Support Assistant. This is a long-term opportunity, starting immediately, where you will gain hands-on experience working with children with autism, social communication challenges, and additional learning needs.
Why This Role?
This role is perfect for recent graduates looking to gain experience in education, music therapy, creative therapies, or SEN support. You will work closely with teachers and therapists to support pupils through creative and engaging methods, helping to make learning accessible for all.
What You'll Be Doing:
1. Supporting students one-to-one and in small groups, helping them to access learning through creative approaches.
2. Encouraging self-expression, communication, and engagement through Music, Drama, Art, or Creative Writing.
3. Assisting teachers with lesson planning and adapting materials for pupils with SEN.
4. Helping students develop social, emotional, and communication skills using creative interventions such as Makaton, PECS, and Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) tools.
5. Promoting inclusion and fostering a safe, nurturing learning environment.
What We're Looking For:
1. A 2:2 or above in a relevant degree (Music, Drama, Sports, Art, Creative Writing, Psychology).
2. A passion for education, SEN support, and creative learning techniques.
3. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
4. Experience working with children (desirable but not essential).
5. Enthusiasm, patience, and a commitment to making a real difference.
