Head of Health and Safety

If so, we have an exceptional opportunity for a Head of Health and Safety. This critical role allows you to lead and shape the health and safety function within a fast-growing industry and create a lasting impact across the business.
Responsibilities for the Head of Health and Safety will include:
1. Lead and Inspire - Direct and manage a dedicated health and safety team, setting clear goals, monitoring performance, and fostering a positive health and safety culture throughout the organisation.
2. Drive Integration and Innovation - Lead the integration of specialist M&E projects across the sector, as the business continues its expansion in sustainable energy services, ensuring a cohesive approach to health and safety across all areas.
3. Risk Management - Identify key health and safety risks, working with stakeholders to implement processes that minimize risks while securing the support of key decision-makers.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration - Serve as the ambassador of health and safety, building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, especially key partners in the housing sector.
5. Performance Reporting - Provide regular reports to the Board of Directors, including scheduled updates and any incident-related reports as necessary.
The successful Head of Health and Safety candidate will have:
1. Proven experience in a similar role within construction, house building or M&E
2. Experience in influencing, engaging and coaching senior management and liaising directly with clients
3. A strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation, compliance, and regulations
4. Ideally a NEBOSH Diploma or Equivalent and CMIOSH
