Artisan Recruitment Group Ltd are looking for an Electrician to work in the Social Housing sector for a company that prides themselves on high-quality compliance and energy services that are tailored to meet the unique needs of each of their clients.
Job Purpose:
Core duties include carrying out installation, inspection & testing, and the maintenance & repair of all electrical systems. The role involves wiring and fault finding of central heating control systems, along with the ability to fault find, repair, and replace door entry and warden call systems. Conducting oneself professionally and responsibly at all times on behalf of The Company is essential. All works must be carried out in line with codes of practice, company procedures, and stipulations.
Duties:
1. Maintain job time frame and quality standards of the company by working efficiently, effectively, and safely with a high-quality finish.
2. Deliver a high-quality service to the client and their customers, showing respect for all individuals and meeting challenges presented.
3. Carry out all works strictly in line with company procedures and industry standards: code of practice and best practice.
4. Perform repairs and minor works as and when required for installation call backs or remedial works.
5. Attend breakdowns and respond to urgent calls, as part of a call-out rota.
6. Order parts and manage own jobs to ensure fast resolution to the client's issues or faults.
7. Clear each job from the hand-held device and back office system upon completion.
8. Liaise with residents and clients as required about the works being undertaken.
9. Ensure all PPE is present and correct at all times.
10. Ensure all equipment is calibrated and in good working order.
11. Keep all appointments and inform tenants/clients accordingly.
12. Carry out duties as required by any senior manager or staff member representing such manager.
13. Stay up to date with all codes of practice involving your given discipline.
14. Report variations to any works and update the administration department on changes to site requirements.
15. Engage and attend all staff briefings and company functions.
16. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
17. Liaise with other engineers and staff to ensure targets are reached, organizing plumbing and building works on installations.
18. Produce a certificate or job sheet for all works, along with any other reports or records required.
19. Submit valid and accurate time sheets, delivery notes, expenses, and any other documentation weekly.
Skills/Qualifications:
1. General competence in the given trade, NVQ 2 or equivalent, 18th edition wiring regulations, C&G 2391.
2. Experience/Qualifications in fault diagnosis, repair, and installation of door entry and warden call systems, or transferable skills, are a distinct advantage.
3. Punctuality, professionalism, flexibility, and working knowledge of Mobile PDA.
Desirable:
1. Gold ECS NVQ level 3 card.
2. 2391 or 2395 & 2394 in testing and inspection.
Experience Required:
1. Experience of working within the Social Housing market on installation projects and maintenance contracts, including experience of working with residents and clients directly, would be an advantage.
2. Experience in wiring domestic heating systems and the capability to adapt and learn.
3. A clean UK driving license and DBS check will be required.
