Line of Service Tax Industry/Sector Not Applicable Specialism Advisory - Other Management Level Manager Job Description & Summary About the Role As a Commercial and Intellectual Property Lawyer, Manager, you'll be part of the IP & Commercial team within our expansive Legal network. This team is uniquely positioned to handle a variety of traditional and non-traditional (mostly non-contentious) legal projects. Our work spans advising start-ups to multinational companies across diverse sectors, leveraging PwC’s extensive client base. You'll have the opportunity to build deep client relationships and engage in technically challenging and varied legal engagements. What Your Days Will Look Like: Engage in a wide range of IP work including providing general advice, conducting IP due diligence and drafting contracts, including licenses and franchise Collaborate with non-legal IP experts at PwC to advise on IP structuring and commercialisation Draft, review, and negotiate contracts Assist in large global group reorganisations Evaluate client contracts against best practices As a manager, you will have the opportunity to lead projects as well as working on larger projects with more senior members of the team Act as the point of contact for clients and support on work winning activities You will have the opportunity to build your own client base as the practice grows Benefit from PwC's hybrid working model which includes flexible hours and the freedom to design your workday around your own, your clients' and your team's needs This role is for you if: 4 to 6 years’ PQE (we will consider candidates who are 2-4 years’ PQE but they would be brought in on a different grade). England & Wales (or other UK) qualified, or with substantial experience practising in England & Wales. Drafting and negotiating contracts, giving commercial law advice and advising on non-contentious IP. An interest in technically challenging projects. An intellectual curiosity about how businesses work and what drives their value. Willing to be involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients and interested in developing these skills. Keen to learn how to build networks and develop internal relationships, with a view to developing your PwC brand.
