Role Overview:
As an Operations Engineer, you will gain hands-on experience in supply chain logistics, process optimisation, and engineering operations within the pallet pooling industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to apply their engineering knowledge in a real-world setting, contributing to projects that enhance operational efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process Optimisation: Assist in analysing and optimising existing pallet pooling operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
* Data Analysis: Collect and analyse operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement within the pallet management process.
* Product & Process Improvements: Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement technical solutions that improve the performance of pallet systems, products, and services.
* Supply Chain Analysis: Support the operations team in evaluating supply chain performance, including logistics, inventory management, and pallet lifecycle.
* Reporting: Create and maintain detailed reports on operational performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs), and recommend actionable improvements.
* Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, logistics teams, and customer service to help solve operational issues and enhance overall system functionality.
Qualifications:
* Education: Master's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, supply chain management or a related field.
* Technical Skills:
o Basic understanding of logistics, supply chain operations, and process optimisation.
o Proven ability to coordinate and manage activities across an international scope, working with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
o Highly motivated to travel frequently and spend time on industrial sites to oversee operations, assess installations, and engage with clients and service teams directly.
* Soft Skills:
o Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
o Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
o Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
o Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
