Welsh-Medium Teaching Assistant Primary School Teaching Personnel are working with fantastic primary schools in the Ammanford area to recruit teaching assistants to start in January 2025. We are specifically looking for Welsh-Medium Teaching Assistants who are willing and able to work across both Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) if required. Role Details: Job Title : Welsh-Medium Teaching Assistant (TA) Sector : Primary School Job Type : Full Time Start Date : 06/01/2025 Location : Ammanford Schedule : Monday to Friday (8:30am – 3:30pm) Key Responsibilities: Safeguarding children. Liaising with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure the best support is provided for all children. Promote and support the use of Welsh throughout the school day. Providing support for children in both group settings and on a 1:1 basis as needed. Assisting with classroom preparation and activities. Managing disruptive behaviour in a positive and supportive way. Helping to create a safe and engaging environment for children. Requirements: Fluent Welsh speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Welsh and English. Minimum of GCSEs in English and Mathematics. Eligibility to work in the UK and ability to pass enhanced DBS checks. Driving license (preferred but not essential). What We Are Looking For: Previous experience working with children, ideally in an education or care setting. A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children. Excellent communication and listening skills. A positive attitude and strong work ethic. Ability to work across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 when needed.
