JOB ROLE: Responsibility and underwriting of credit proposals, primarily of Buy to Let JOB RESPONSIBILITY: Underwriting portfolio landlords, SPV applications, HMO, Expat, Holiday let and standard BTL mortgage applications and good working knowledge of mortgage loan processing. Highly organised and able to prioritise activities. Detail-oriented with strong data analysis skills. To provide support to the CCO in all operational areas of the Retail Credit Department. Manage the assessment and processing of BTL cases, and the presentation of proposals to Risk Committees. Manage the review, assessment, investigation, and minimising of credit risks associated with loan applications in accordance with the Banks operating policies and procedures. Provide a clear rationale for agreeing or rejecting applications, prior to submitting to the CCO/Credit Committee Ensure the credit decisions are made within regulatory standards, credit policy and adhere to TCF principles and Customer First principles. Interacting with Valuation firms/Legal firms/ and external vendors e.g., BEP, LMS, Experian, Connells, to ensure successful completion the loan application. MIS preparation and submission to the management as per the requirement Complying with various policies of the bank like credit policy, AML/KYC Risk matrix COMPETENCY: Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products Knowledge of UK regulatory framework, principles, and rules Knowledge of UK lending environment Having relevant experience in underwriting or assessing credit proposals in BTL.
