Are you an incredibly organised, proactive and efficient individual with a passion for delivering excellent customer service? GMS Security Services Ltd, a trusted and growing family-run business, is looking for a Security Service Desk Manager to join our friendly team.
In this vital role, you’ll be at the heart of our technical operations, coordinating all aspects of our security services, including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder, and Fire Alarm systems. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career with a business that values teamwork, integrity, and customer care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Be accountable for the technical department, including all administrative processes which ensure the smooth running of this important function.
2. Coordinate and schedule installation, servicing, and maintenance works across all security systems without supervision.
3. Manage day-to-day service desk operations and engineer workloads.
4. Be the first point of contact for client queries, providing professional and prompt technical support.
5. Ensure timely resolution of issues and clear communication with both clients and engineers.
6. Work alongside our Operations team to assist with customer requests and operational administration.
7. Produce quotations, work orders, jobs and invoices using Simpro.
8. Work closely with subcontractors to ensure seamless customer delivery.
9. Maintain accurate records and service documentation.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills.
2. The ability to manage and understand a range of technical information whilst being able to prioritise tasks without supervision.
3. Experience in scheduling and coordinating field engineers or technical teams is preferred.
4. A strong focus on customer service with excellent communication skills, including over the phone, by email and face-to-face.
5. Previous experience in a security or technical service environment (preferred but not essential).
6. A proactive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently.
7. Must have a valid driving license as there may be visits to customer sites and trips to our local storage unit to take and collect stock.
