Rate of Pay & Benefits: Start: ASAP Location: Bournemouth Shift Pattern: 3 days per week with flexible hours (occasional weekends) Rate of Pay: £13.00 per hour 5.6 weeks holiday pro rata About Our Client: Our client studies MSc Neuroscience with King's College London. She is a conscientious artistic individual. She has Cerebral Palsy with Diplegia cannot verbally speak. British Sign Language, the iPad and the phone are the clients means of speaking with individuals. She is not one for relying upon the wheelchair rather prefers to optimise her stamina. The wheelchair is for long trips and long walks. Our client has a love for the culinary arts (handmade or restaurants) especially plant foods; walks between one hour and two hours among the fresh air, foraging wild fruits; uncovering fresh places within Bournemouth or within the UK. She would love an individual with a UK driving licence as they could visit places that nourish her brain (i.e., anything botanical or among the fresh air, galleries, museums) in between academia. Becoming successful for this job position would suggest that the individuals experiment with homemade plant foods (i.e., sweets). Our client states that this is a form of therapy. About the Job: The job would be ideal for a female graduate with similar interests. No care experience is needed as all training will be given. This is a great opportunity to really make a difference to our client personally and socially. Your role will be to provide all aspects of support (personal and social) to enable our client to reach her full potential. Three days a week with variable hours. A day may comprise visiting the Village Gym, stretching, long trips, long walks, experimenting with handmaking foods or lunch dates. The individual will have to do hygienic / personal care and cleaning. Our client appreciates her own space so between you a routine can be agreed together. Skills required for this job: A recent graduate The ability to quickly alternate between positions (personal care, note taker, scribe and proof-reader) A mature attitude with tact, solicitous, discretion and superlative organisational skills are also the key to this roles success.
