An opportunity has arisen to join our team of Nurses in the Head and Neck Department at our main unit based at Morriston Hospital.
Our Head and Neck Department is a varied surgical unit, providing both out-patient care and surgical care for 5 specialities including Orthodontic, Restorative Dentistry, ENT, Maxillofacial, and Cleft Surgery. The unit caters for a large variety of patients and clinics are extremely varied. They can be Consultant, Registrar, Speciality Doctor, DCT, Orthodontic Therapist and Dental Therapist led.
The role involves caring for patients in the Head and Neck Department and the successful candidate will become an integral part of a large varied nursing team. The ability to work well as part of a team and on their own initiative is essential.
Experience in all aspects of Dental Nursing is essential, additional qualifications desirable. The ability to be calm in stressful situations and to be able to deal with stressed and anxious patients in a calm sensitive manner would be beneficial.
The successful candidate may be required to mentor students and new staff members and to support the senior nursing team as required.
Training and full support will be given.
