Macclesfield, Cheshire is home to a globally recognised client seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer. This role is pivotal in enhancing manufacturing operations by identifying and eliminating bottlenecks. The ideal candidate will be proactive in promoting and initiating continuous improvement activities.
Responsibilities:
* Identify and implement process improvements, waste removal, and cost reduction.
* Support and facilitate Kaizen workshops, lean events, Practical Problem Solving (PPS), and root cause analysis.
* Prepare and present improvement activities at the Lean Council using PowerPoint.
* Update and manage the improvement suggestion tracker, ensuring timely closure against target dates.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
* Understanding of lean principles, tools, and techniques such as Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, 8 Wastes, 5S, and Time Observations.
* Experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or in a similar role, preferably within a CI-focused position.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, and tool design.
* Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques.
