Sales Development Representative
Location: Stroud, Gloucestershire (Hybrid – 2 days in office)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:45 – 17:00
Salary: £30,000 – £37,000 base, OTE £45,000 – £52,000 (dependent on experience)
Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Sales Development Representative with SaaS experience to play a pivotal role in identifying prospects, generating new business, and supporting sales pipeline growth. This fast-paced, dynamic role will involve close collaboration with the sales and marketing teams to drive company growth.
Key Responsibilities of a Sales Development Representative:
* Research, identify, and engage potential prospects to drive new business opportunities.
* Build brand awareness through outbound social media, phone, and email outreach.
* Schedule appointments and follow up on leads to nurture sales pipeline.
* Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on strategies, including account mapping and ABM (account-based marketing).
* Use CRM software to track leads, manage activities, and maintain accurate records.
* Keep current with industry developments, market trends, and competitors.
* Provide regular updates and reports on progress and outcomes.
* Continuously develop skills and share best practices across the team.
Key Skills of a Sales Development Representative:
* 3–5 years of experience in sales, with 3+ years in outbound SaaS SDR roles.
* Strong communication skills – both written and verbal – with confident, engaging storytelling ability.
* CRM proficiency essential; experience with LinkedIn and AI tools desirable.
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and goal-oriented.
* Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
* Strong organisational, time management, and analytical abilities.
* Adaptable, team-focused, and driven to learn and grow.
* Degree in business or related field desirable.
* Knowledge of protech and fintech sectors desirable but not essential.
