Our Derby based client is renowned as a market leader in the provision of innovative and bespoke integrated systems, offering a range of high-quality services that encompass Project Management and Implementation, Consultancy, and Software Development to blue-chip clients worldwide. As a result of continued success and an ongoing planned programme of strategic growth for 2025 and beyond, they are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Accounts Assistant to complement their established and successful Finance Team.
Working in a small Finance Department, the successful Accounts Assistant will deal with all aspects of finance in a fast-paced environment, primarily concentrating on Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger activities.
To be considered for this varied and challenging opportunity, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills at all levels and strong organisational skills. A good working knowledge of accounting practices and principles is essential. Formal accountancy qualifications are not necessarily needed, though AAT would be a distinct advantage.
Essentially, you will demonstrate a proven track record in a similar Accounts Assistant position along with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a friendly team, taking ownership of tasks and responsibilities while demonstrating a methodical approach to work with excellent attention to detail.
You will possess a good working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel (lookups, pivot tables, routine formulas, etc.), and a positive can-do attitude, eagerness to learn, and an enthusiastic and self-motivated approach to work.
