The Role: Use data and insight to drive footfall and traffic to Landsec’s portfolio, with the ultimate goal of increasing conversion to spend of our consumers. Deep analysis of understanding of Landsec’s quantitative and qualitative data sources. Highlighting consumer trends and insights, using simple storytelling and narrative to communicate findings to the wider Landsec Retail business and external partners. Generate actionable insight to inform marketing, leasing, asset management, operational, and investment decisions Sit at the forefront of Landsec’s expanding direct-to-consumer business, using data insight to define strategy to support future growth. Work across a matrix of teams including Digital Marketing, Data & Technology an d the wider Commercial organisation. Communicate these insights succinctly and effectively to Landsec stakeholders and external partners Working with Data and Technology teams to implement our retail data strategy for consumer insights The Team: We are a close-knit team of 3 people who are passionate about the work we do. We are responsible for translating data on consumers and the retail market into actionable insight for Landsec stakeholders. Key projects in the next 12 months will be: delivering an Insight Strategy focussed on enhancing and optimising the value from the quantitative data sets we have within Landsec through dashboards aswell as in depth analysis to identify key actionable insights. Future focus to support Digital Marketing in driving forward the future D2C communication approach by identifying new data sources and analytics to enhance our single view of customer strategy at each touchpoint of the consumer journey to ensure we elevate our assets to experience-led places. What you will be responsible for : Data Analysis Use both qualitative and quantitative research methods to generate actionable insight but with a key focus on quantitative data Query data robustness and methodology - willingness to question status quo and deliver original ‘out-of-the-box’ insight Working with Data and Technology teams to implement our retail data strategy on location, visitation and spend data sets plus other consumer insight within our datalake and dashboard reporting Run data analysis that covers retail market overview, consumer behaviour, brand impact, location and catchment opportunity, competitor overview Understand, manage and deploy existing and new data sources and tools (including Alteryx) Identifying new data sources and analytics to help understand our consumers in both first and third party data. Translating research into actionable insight Build relationships with wider Consumer, Asset Management, Brand Leasing, Development, Comms and Investment teams to understand their needs and questions Synthesise large volumes of data into digestible, actionable insights for stakeholders Communicate these insights effectively through written reports, contributions to wider presentation decks and leading presentations Managing insight projects Prioritise competing tasks, set appropriate deadlines and communicate progress with stakeholders Lead as product owner within agile ways of working with Data and Technology in the implementation of our consumer insights retail data strategy. Taking on ownership of new data sets and analysis to understand our consumer, and embed the usage across the business Build strong external relationships with industry partners such as property agents, JV partners, retailers and brand partners and industry bodies to drive best practice in Landsec Insight programme Your skills, experience and qualifications: Essential criteria Analytical expertise - experience working with both quantitative and qualitative data sets, ability to adapt to new data sources. Effective storytelling - ability to take complex data sets and translate into simple narratives that communicate insight and recommendations to various stakeholders. Data visualisation - proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint, ability to display data in an easy to understand manner. Collaborative skills - capability to work effectively with diverse teams across the organisation - fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing to drive a data intelligent culture. Methodical with attention to detail under time constraint. Energised by using data to solve commercial challenges and drive performance.
