Your Tasks
1. Provide effective Testing, Commissioning and Servicing of Durr Limited equipment in line with the Project timing requirements.
2. Achieve operational performance and Customer acceptance of Durr Limited equipment in line with the design criteria laid down in Durr Limited and/or Customer specifications (whichever takes precedence).
3. Provide all relevant documentation and reportage to the Engineering Dept throughout the testing & commissioning period as prescribed within Company Procedures and Work Instructions.
4. Provide site based practical training and classroom based theoretical training to Customer personnel in line with the agreed Project provision (number of personnel, number of shifts etc).
Your Skills
1. Ideally you will already have gained a relevant Engineering qualification such as an Apprenticeship or HNC/HND in an engineering discipline; or have the equivalent level of experience.
2. You will have a sound mechanical engineering knowledge and ideally, also some electrical engineering knowledge.
3. You will have experience of process plant installation and commissioning, ideally from within automotive or related industries.
4. You must have experience of fault finding and rectification, problem solving to overcome issues utilising your technical knowledge and experience.
5. Experience of commissioning booths, ovens, conveyors etc would be advantageous, as would experience of paint application.
6. A basic understanding of PLC software is desired but not essential.
7. Experience of, or the ability to supervise and manage contractors is essential; as is the delivery of training to customers.
8. Knowledge of UK H&S legislation is required, a H&S qualification such as IOSH would be an advantage.
9. You will have good PC skills with the ability to use MS office applications. You must have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with the customer at all levels.
10. You will be methodical and accurate with strong communication and problem solving skills. You will be self motivated and have the ability to prioritise and plan workloads and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
11. You will need to have a flexible approach and be able to work independently and within a team.
12. Although our Head Office is in Warwick, you will spend the vast majority of your time working on customer sites around the UK and sometimes overseas, for either short or extended periods. You will therefore need to be flexible with regards to travel and working time since weekends and some shifts will be required.
