Role Overview: We are seeking dynamic and passionate Computer Vision Engineers and Developers to join our team and drive forward our mission to enhance health and welfare through advanced data analytics and vision-based monitoring. You will take on existing projects, working with our team to develop new capabilities and deploy the advanced algorithms that underpin our solutions.
Responsibilities:
· Develop AI models using computer vision and machine learning techniques to monitor animal health, behaviours, and welfare states.
· Work closely with our team to enhance model performance and accuracy.
· Integrate data-driven solutions into our platform, including edge deployment, ensuring real-time monitoring capabilities.
· Collaborate with veterinary professionals to translate domain expertise into actionable data insights that drive improvements in animal well-being.
· Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover hidden patterns, correlations, and potential areas for improvement in livestock farming practices.
· Collaborate with external partners, including universities and research institutions, to stay updated on the latest advancements computer vision and data science.
· Help drive continuous innovation within the company.
Requirements:
· Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience.
· At least 5 years’ experience in computer vision and machine learning applications.
· Desire to work in a fast-paced outcome focused environment and to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
· Excellent programming skills especially Python and extensive experience with computer vision libraries.
· Track record of being a highly self-motivated problem solver.
· Experience working with computer vision problems such as tracking, re-identification and action learning is beneficial.
· Experience with model quantisation and edge deployment is beneficial.
· Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git)
· Experience in working with large datasets and implementing data pipelines.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
· Experience or interest in animal health and welfare is beneficial.
