Permanent, full time, 37 hours per week Band 4 - £31,396 to £34,980 per annum About the Post As Digital Content Officer, you will play a key role in shaping the University of Suffolk’s online presence. In this exciting position, you will be responsible for creating and managing engaging web content and social media campaigns that elevate our brand and support our ambitious growth strategy. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the University's communications landscape by monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of our digital activities. In your role, you will: Create, coordinate and deliver creative and effective content (words, images, video) to the website, including copywriting and search engine optimisation, within the brand guidelines of the University. Collaborate closely with colleagues across the University to deliver creative and effective content, while adhering to brand guidelines and governance policies. Collaborate with colleagues across the Directorate, in particular Marketing Business Partners, to ensure all web content and social media campaigns support school marketing plans, assist student recruitment and the attainment of the University’s wider objectives. About the Team The Digital Content Officer will be part of the dedicated Digital Operations team within the dynamic Directorate of Marketing, Communications and International. The Directorate is responsible for student recruitment, admissions, marketing, events, website, social media, external and internal communications. Our friendly and welcoming Directorate has a proactive social group co-ordinating a range of activities, and benefits from agile working, with on-campus time of around 60% to allow colleagues to work collaboratively. About You You will be passionate about digital marketing and have a knack for creating compelling content. You will thrive in a collaborative environment and you will bring your experience in content production and management and your knowledge of social media platforms and strategies to help us drive success and innovation in higher education. You will have: A degree or equivalent level qualification Experience of using content management systems Knowledge of online communications tools and techniques Excellent writing and proofreading skills A proven track record of delivering multiple projects to strict deadlines.
