Job Description:
This is an incredible and unique opportunity for a mid-senior Interior Designer to be working on a high-end education project with an AJ100, award-winning firm! A well-established Interior Architecture firm in South West London, best known for their high-profile, detail-focused projects across the commercial, residential, and hospitality sectors, is on the search for an Interior Designer/Senior Designer.
The ideal candidate will have worked on a range of projects, closely collaborated with architects, and had some exposure to the management of other staff. You will be working on this project from initial design and concept development to implementation, ensuring the project meets the unique needs and requirements of each educational institution while maintaining a high-end edge.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, goals, and requirements for educational spaces or have worked on mixed-use commercial projects.
2. Develop innovative design concepts that enhance learning environments and promote student engagement.
3. Create detailed interior design plans, including floor plans, furniture layouts, and material specifications.
4. Select furniture, fixtures, finishes, and equipment (FF&E) that meet project budgets and timelines.
5. Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the design and construction process.
6. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that designs are implemented according to specifications and standards.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field.
2. Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in interior design, with a focus on educational projects.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
4. Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, and sustainability principles will be ideal.
