This is an opportunity to join a dedicated group of academics in the Department of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences which run a varied programme of research-led accredited courses, complementing most aspects of the pharmaceutical industry, from drug discovery through to market authorisation. Your role will be to develop and deliver industrially focused education in pharmaceutical science and closely related areas. You will plan, deliver, and assess a range of modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level in the above and related areas, using a variety of approaches. This will include classroom and practical work in our modern, well-equipped laboratories. It is expected that you will establish an independent programme of research and or enterprise activity. You will play an active role in the work of the department outside the classroom - for example outreach, open days and personal tutoring. The Person You will use your subject experience to promote integrated professional practice, imparting practical scientific knowledge, and real-world skills to students making them sought after in their future careers. The successful applicant will therefore have academic and preferably industrial experience in pharmaceutics/Formulations and drug delivery. Some experience of pharmaceutical regulatory affairs would be welcomed. In addition to your undergraduate degree, you will hold a doctorate in a relevant discipline. You will also be a flexible team worker responsive to needs of the department. On a personal level, your core motivation will be to deliver exceptional teaching, research, and support to our students. By the end of the probation period, you must have achieved the relevant level of UKPSF recognition (if this has not already been obtained).
