Senior Administrator - Children's Community Nursing

We are seeking two senior administrators to join the children's community nursing services administration team. The post holder will be predominantly responsible for the provision of administrative support to the Community Children's Nursing Team.
This is a permanent 30 hours a week post, working Monday to Friday. A slight reduction in hours will be considered.
The Children's Community nurses support children and young people (CYP) and their families across Cornwall. They offer support in various ways, including nurse clinics, home visits, telephone reviews, and supporting education settings. The post holder will need to be flexible in their approach, a good communicator, and have the ability to manage and prioritise their workload.
Main Duties of the Job
The main duties of the job include:
1. Communicating with families and professionals via phone and email
2. Packing and sending out consumables for families
3. Liaising with other professionals to gather additional information for the clinical team
4. Overseeing the completion of Rio essential information
5. Typing letters and reports as directed
6. Diary management
7. Scanning and entering confidential information onto the computer systems
8. Supporting the Team Manager in basic workforce tasks

Person Specification
Education / Qualifications and Relevant Experience
* GCSE Maths and/or English or equivalent
* CLAIT/ECDL/NVQ 2 or equivalent
* NVQ 3 or Equivalent qualification or experience in administration
* Record Keeping
* Data Protection / Information Governance
* Administrative Experience of working in a complex office environment
* OCR Level 3 Text Processing or equivalent
* OCR Level 3 Audio Typing or equivalent
Skills and Aptitude
* Good communication / interpersonal skills
* Understanding of confidentiality
* Good organisational and office skills
* Ability to understand Trust Procedures and Policies relating to the role
* Ability to manage and prioritise workload
* Ability to work in a Team
* Ability to work with spreadsheets and databases
Knowledge and Abilities
* Previous NHS or Local Authority experience
* Understanding of Children's Services
* Experience in using NHS software packages i.e. RiO
* Supervisory experience
